As our site receives greater coverage, we are increasingly being contacted about new honors being awarded to our site, so much so, that we designed a page on the ForAccess site to begin displaying these awards. In the next few weeks, we will be sharing information about more of these awards, but if you want to keep updated between newsletters, just read the ForAccess blog for updates. The most recent were awards that applauded the diversity of our site, its impact, its goals, and its management. These awards included:
- Award for excellence by a Woman Owned Business
- Wholesome Family Site Award
- Mirror, Mirror on the Wall Award
Our site is a certified women owned business entity (WBE) and was developed specifically to be ‘family friendly’ (all registrations must be approved prior to initial posting, to prevent obscene or inappropriate materials from being displayed to children or teens visiting the site for resources). The “Mirror, Mirror” award is given to a site recognized as one of the best women owned business sites on the Internet.
We appreciate these awards, as they acknowledge and are a compliment to what our site is accomplishing, but also bring links back into our site, which, in turn, brings additional opportunities for coverage for our members.
