Coaching: To do or not to do?

Access Referral Network president, Jeanne Fuller, was one of 5 Texas women whose SWBE was awarded the prestigious “Make Mine A Million” award at the Texas Women’s Conference.  This award is given to those women-owned businesses that have potential of million dollar earnings within a short period of time.  One of the valuable features of the award is that awardees are provided access to ’coaching’ by experienced business owners and certified coaches.

Through coaching, many start-up businesses are able to focus on the task at hand:  building a business that is solid and successful.

“The coaching experience has been invaluable”, states Jeanne.  “Brainstorming your ideas and running new concepts by an experienced coach, whose sole goal is to help you reach success, provides enthusiasm and a solid source of feedback.  A good coach will challenge you, help you establish and reach measureable goals, and be a resource to help you evaluate decisions.”

There are many who call themselves coaches, so it’s important to check out their actual credentials before seeking their services.  Ask for their resume, web-site, and possible list of clients who have used their services.  Contact those clients.  You may want to evaluate and compare several coaches before selecting one, but by doing so, it is time well spent.

Remember…a coach’s goal will be to provide tools that help you become a successful business owner.
